Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles
The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles houses dozens of automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles that were manufactured right here in Pennsylvania while the industry was still in its infancy. Prior to that time, the region produced multitudes of horse-drawn vehicles, of which many examples can be found at the Museum.
We’ll take a photographic tour through both the auto museum, and the recently opened Carriage Museum.
If you are looking for a fun way to spend several hours learning to creatively photograph a huge variety of historic cars, trucks, bicycles, carriages, wagons and more-then this trek is for you! A highlight will be the old Sunoco station and Fegley’s old-time diner.
You will learn how to photograph in low light situations, use fill and bounce flash to supplement the lighting, and shoot bracketed images that can later be combined into a single High Dynamic Range image. We will also cover how to use a variety of different lenses and techniques to create unique images you will be thrilled to show off and hang on your wall!
This trek is for photographers of all skill levels. Hands-on instruction will be given throughout the workshop. A tripod is a necessity. Beyond that, no special gear is required. Polarizer and lens hoods for each lens used is recommended. You’ll need plenty of space on your memory cards for all the creative images you’ll be capturing!
There will be a brief pre-trek class via zoom on February 3rd, to go over final details and review images of what can be expected and tons of tips to get you started. An email will be sent to participants approximately one week prior to the event with all the details.
Admission to the museum is included in the price! There is a minimum number of participants needed to run this trek. Participants will meet at the museum
The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is located at 85 S Walnut St, Boyertown, PA
